Best Time to Visit and Weather Tips

Singapore's tropical climate means warm and humid weather year-round, with temperatures averaging between 25Β°C and 31Β°C. The best time to visit is during the dry season from February to April when rain showers are less frequent, making outdoor activities more enjoyable for families.

Keep in mind that Singapore can receive sudden short showers, so packing a light raincoat or umbrella is advisable. The city is well prepared with covered walkways and indoor attractions, so a little rain won't dampen your trip.

Practical Tips for Indian Travellers

  • Visa and Travel Documents: Indian passport holders require a visa to enter Singapore. Many tour packages include visa processing, but it's good to check requirements well in advance.
  • Local Transport: Singapore's public transport system is efficient and family-friendly. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) connects most major attractions. Consider buying a Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited rides during your stay.

  • Cultural Etiquette: Singapore is known for its cleanliness and orderliness. Respect local rules such as no chewing gum in public places and proper disposal of litter to have a smooth experience.
  • Packing Essentials: Lightweight cotton clothes, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended. Carry a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while exploring.
